Well, the cover has certainly got my attention.

The gag where an overly enthusiastic Ryoga slaps his hands down on Ukyou's counter (half of which is a griddle) and burns his hands as a result of focusing too hard on a single thing at a time... was done at least once in canon, possibly repeated, but I don't recall.

Give him something else to think about, it's proven that it can take him several long seconds to notice he's burning himself (or take it as classic cartoon physics if you like: The coyote chasing the roadrunner who misses a turn and runs off a cliff will keep running until he notices he's out of ground; only after noticing will he begin to fall).

That's if I wanted to rationalize the picture. The fact is this is the cover; meant to symbolically represent the book, not to be taken literally at all. Most likely (though I haven't myself seen ahead; I'm too recent a team member to have worked on LaF) that scene will not actually be in the book at all.

Oh Akane, if only you could see what Ryoga thinks of you...

The nude thought of Akane right at the beginning of the book was certainly unexpected, but I'm not complaining. Seems good so far.

The irony is that she'd almost never wear such frilly gloves and hosiery, so being totally naked would have made more sense.

Also love how Ryouga imagines himself in bard's attire. Not sure I'd wanna hear him sing me a song...

I generally agree the outfit doesn't suit Akane's personality. But of course the point of the image was that this is Ryoga's perfect fantasy, not reality. The more ridiculous it is, the better.

AT LAST!! I've been waiting for this one to start for such a long time!!

Firstly, the cover... PERFECT!! I love Team Sulca's coloring; it's so freaking awesome! And the way he draws the girls' abs is amazing. Always amazing. And lastly, P-Chan on the grill gives the sexy pic a comic twist... It's always nice to see P-Chan!

As for the first page, it's also PERFECT!! Like you guys said, it is a situation that could've very well happened in Ranma canon. That's the Ryoga I know - always day-dreaming of stuff of the sort... Loved the outfit! (And also Akane's lack thereof )

Can't wait to see more!! It's been such a long time since the last book starring Ukyo... So I guess you can tell I'm bursting in excitement! I hope she gets to have A LOT of fun in this one!
