Detonator Orgun
Fleeing from his own race, Orgun - an alien being with superhuman abilities and unearthly weapons - travels to Earth to find an answer to his origin. There, he bonds with a young man named Tomoru to defend Earth against the Evoluders, who seek nothing but destruction of other civilizations.

As the earth comes under attack from a mysterious alien force, our hero Tomoru realizes he has a special bond with Orgun, a humanoid-mech-being who just so happens to be one of the aforementioned aliens. Orgun wants to help Earth, but he can only fight when he and Tomoru "combine". The story primarily deals with the mystery behind the alien force, and Tomoru's continuing reluctance to shoulder the responsibility he's been dealt. While not really a horrible piece of work, I just couldn't get into it at all. |
