Ranma TV
Saotome Ranma, a teenage martial artist, and his father Genma travel to the 'cursed training ground' of Jusenkyo in China. There, despite the warnings of the Chinese guard, they fall into the cursed springs. From now on, whenever Ranma is doused in cold water, he turns in to a girl, and a cute, well-built red-head at that. Hot water changes him back into a man again, but only until the next time. To make matters worse, his father engages him to Tendo Akane, a girl who hates boys.

| Ranma Saotome is an exceptional teenage martial artist who has one big problem: he and his father fell into cursed magical springs when they were in China on a training trip. Now every time he gets splashed with cold water he turns into a buxom girl, and his father turns into a panda bear! In the first episode of the series he gains an arranged fiance named Akane Tendo- another martial artist tomboy-type. As with all Rumiko Takahashi series, they start out not liking each other and refuse to admit feeling anything towards the other, but become secretly jealous when other suitors/rivals are added to the mix on both sides. Seasons 1 and 2 are the best, as they follow the manga pretty faithfully, while the remaining seasons add more filler and the animation quality drops horrendously before getting better right before the end. The OAVs are must-see, but TV-wise you're better off stopping with Ukyo's intro in season 3 (finalizing the major character roster) and just getting the manga from there. | |

| There is hardly any more I could add... Ranma is a great, funny show. It is *extremely* long and does get old, but it is worth seeing. And if you can afford it, at least pick up the first season... the first 4 episodes of this series are some of the best anime comedy you will ever find. | |
