Ultimate Girls
During a monster attack on the city, which is something that happens quite often, Silk and her two friends try get close to the attacking monster for a better view. An unfortunate choice of location to watch from leads to UFO-man, the city’s giant protector, to land on the girls crushing them to death. Feeling sorry, UFO-man blames their death on the monster and promises to bring Silk and her friends back to life by lending them his power but the catch is that they now have to become the city’s protector as well.

| This one is a strange series. It's got mega-sized super-heroines, and more fanservice than you can shake a wank at. Lots of comedy, some implied shoujo-ai, though it's one-sided, and lots of giant women losing their clothes as their powers go down. To understand it, you'd have to watch the whole thing, otherwise you're just going to get lost. Lots of relationship issues, some jealousy regarding body stature, and lots of innuendo. If you love comedy and skin, you'll love Ultimate Girls. Otherwise, watch at your own risk.. | |
| Giant monster attacks have become very common in Japan- so common that they have a regularly-scheduled TV show devoted to observing them. Fortunately, there is also 'UFO Man'- a defender who looks like a giant plastic toy robot. Schoolgirls Silk, Tsubomi, and Vivian decide to get a close look at the action one day, and go down to the waterfront to watch- only to be crushed by UFO Man's foot when he lands. He resurrects them at a personal energy cost that reduces him down to the size of an infant, and asks that they fight the monsters in his place. When they grab hold of a rod that he extends from his body (making him look like a magic wand), they are transformed into giant versions of themselves with different hair color . They go mano a mano against the monsters, only to find out that their magical charge lasts only 3 minutes and their uniforms begin to disintegrate after that, leaving their Brogdingnagian bare butts out in the sun. All is not lost, as it turns out that their power-up comes from 'Michaiyan Otome (Don't Look at the Maiden) Energy' (or M.O.E., if you didn't see it coming), and they can stay in their Ultimate states longer- but they don't get their clothes back- depending on how high the level of embarassment of being seen naked is. This disappoints Tsubomi, a hard-core (and board-flat) cosplayer who shows the most enthusiasm in fighting monsters, because she doesn't care whether or not people see her naked- hence she can't reach the higher levels of power. Silk on the other hand, is shy and modest and powers up quite easily- especially since her crush object Makoto (Tsubomi's older brother) is obsessed with these new 'Ultimate Girls' and is always around watching them. While almost all of the monster battles are taken care of in one episode, there is a small amount of story that keeps you from watching the series out of order. The short episode time means the monsters come out fairly quickly, so the girls can transform and get naked faster. The monsters are usually normal inanimate objects that have been mutated and enlarged somehow, and they're defeated by having their cores (which are uncomfortably phallus-like in appearance) ripped out of their bodies. Ouch. The fansubs on Animesuki.com are the edited and censored TV versions, so you won't be seeing most of the gallery material if you get the series there. |
