Mascot! A big thanks to Vic Fieger, (artist/site visitor/forum member/longtime acquaintance from another corner of the web) for this commissioned drawing of Athena*- a girl of charm and little clothing- that popped into my head as something that needed to exist soon after I changed my forum signature to what appears in the text box above. The first sentence has been a motto of mine for years and although I have no idea what made me add the second bit**, it definitely answered my question of what kind of image could catch the purpose of the site.

9/2007: Mascot redux! B.C. Hakusai sent me his own rendition of the site's mascot, inspired by Vic's version.

* If you're wondering why I decided to call her Athena (instead of some cute-anime-girl-sounding name), it's because she- like her namesake Greek goddess- sprung fully-formed from my mind at the moment of conception.
